Jo is a freelance embroiderer who trained at the prestigious Royal School of Needlework. She teaches embroidery classes around New Zealand and Australia alongside working on commissions. The commissions include repairing old textiles as well as new work for churches, fashion designers and the movie industry. Her embroidery can be seen in the live-action Mulan movie which is coming out in March 2020. Her work can be seen on Instagram@dixeysoul.
Labour Weekend Oct 26th, 27th and 28th 2019 will be an opportunity to visit Jo in her studio in Helensville for ARTS IN THE VILLE.
